Company Description

The Central Washington Home Builders Association (CWHBA) is a not-for-profit professional trade association dedicated to promoting, protecting and preserving the home building industry. CWHBA has been building and supporting our communities since 1955. Covering the geographical area of Klickitat, Kittitas and Yakima Counties, the association is comprised of 730 member businesses employing nearly 10,000 people. The CWHBA is based in Yakima with a chapter in Kittitas County. The CWHBA is led by member volunteers and professional staff, who strive to address issues unique to the various professionals within the association.

The CWHBA is one of over 800 local home builder associations throughout the U.S. and is affiliated with the Building Industry Association of Washington and the National Association of Home Builders. Builder members range from large companies to individual contractors and include developers, custom and speculative builders, multifamily builders, manufactured housing companies, residential remodelers and general contractors. But membership in the association is not limited to builders.

The membership represents an array of housing-related businesses and industries including trade contractors, building materials outlets, manufacturers, distributors, lending institutions, real estate companies, utilities, surveyors, title companies, attorneys, accountants, engineers, architects, designers and many others. Membership is all about working together to strengthen an environment in which business can succeed while providing for the housing needs of the region's population.
