Toppenish is a city in Washington's Yakima County. There were 8,854 people living in the city as of the 2020 Census. It is situated inside the 1855-founded Yakama Indian Reservation.
Toppenish, which has more than 75 murals covering its buildings, refers to itself as the city of murals. The community offers horse-drawn tours and yearly art exhibitions, and the first, "Clearing the Land," was painted in 1989. All illustrate historical events and locations in the area between 1840 and 1940.
