Feat Of Freedom Dance

These last couple of years have been quite trying for most of us, to say the least. Now, possibly more than ever, our youth need a healthy and joyful outlet to express themselves by the art of dance in a safe, graceful, and peaceful place. As the studio owner and long time dance instructor within our valley, I am so blessed and grateful for the official reopening & rebranding of the dance studio this fall. The studio’s new name expresses something of great significance to me - feat means achievement, victory... and nothing worth having is achieved without great trials and courage… Think David and Goliath. At Feat of Freedom Dance, we desire to inspire our dancers to find their "feat of freedom" by learning first to love themselves, just as God created them. It is only when we truly know and love who we are in Him, that we find ourselves bold and brave enough to stand up for the innate freedoms that we hold as citizens of this great nation and most significantly, those given to us by our Creator.... starting with the freedom to dance. With a couple of my dearest friends working by my side, we honor our common goal of bringing joy into the lives of the children and families within our community, while teaching our youngens to love themselves just as the good Lord created them
in grace, truth, and light.

Alexa Anderson, Baby & Me, OT
Alexa Anderson is a skilled pediatric occupational therapist for over 10 years. She is a graduate from the University of Washington and specializes in working with children with special needs in a variety of settings in the Seattle area. As a mother of three, she has a passion for helping children reach new developmental milestones and working with families to coach them along the way. Alexa will be teaching a musical and sensory-rich class that will allow parents and caregivers to engage and bond with their little ones, enhancing their social and developmental skills. This class will also allow the opportunity for Moms, dads, nannies, and grandparents to socialize with other parents and open the door for potential future playmates!

Bre Stockdale, Instructor
Many know Bre as loving and vibrant preschool teacher and a paraprofessional of the 3/4th grade classroom at Roots. What I am excited for our community to come to know is her surreptitious talent and rich passion for dance. Bre spent most of her childhood and young adult life dancing both as a student and as a choreographer in college. With a background in jazz, hip hop, dance team, and musical theatre, Bre brings a unique & exciting flavor to our dance classroom! Her daughter, Lexi, has spent the last 5 years dancing in her mother's footsteps and is excited to have her mom teaching at the very place she herself has fallen in love with dance. Bre will be teaching from several genres as well as pairing with me in some of our advanced classrooms, allowing us the grand opportunity to water the talent of our young dancers and expand their skillset as they grow in confidence and grace.

Elani Moody, REFIT Instructor
REFIT is mix of cardio and toning to music.
A wonderful fellowship of women, coming together in a safe space to work for their healthy bodies, minds, and hearts! Elani has taught for 8 years and has been used as a light through Christ, touching the hearts of many with this ministry through the art of dance. Come join us at Feat of Freedom Studio for a great workout, fun, and blessed company! Classes are presently held on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday mornings from 8-9AM.

LeeAnne Casal-Inda, Instructor
LeeAnne is well known in our valley as a spectacular preschool teacher as well as for her substantial volunteer work within the community, primarily focused on our youth. LeeAnne has a history with tumbling & gymnastics which pairs beautifully with her innate ability to hold the attention of children to inspire confidence and safety on the mats. LeeAnne’s two daughters
Tiana, who has been dancing for the last 7 years and Naya, who has been dancing for the last 4, are both splendid representations of the altruism and goodness that is inspired by this woman... topped with plenty of spice of course. LeeAnne is excited to continue to work with her tiny tots this fall, teaching them basic dance movements and coordination with plenty of style that will not only inspire self-worth in the kiddos who are blessed enough with the opportunity to work with her, but will also provide a safe and joyful outlet for all that extra pent up energy that our young does and bucks are so of. She will also be pairing with my in our Cheer/ACRO classes to help broaden the skillsets of our cheerleaders!

Jacquelynn Dalton, Owner & Instructor
Dance has been a vast part of my existence since I began with ballet at the age of 3, and has further expanded over a myriad of genres throughout the years. My old soul has always drawn inspiration from musicals with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and then modernized to my own era with Flashdance, White Nights, Footloose, and Dirty Dancing. I've always had a profound love for the art of ballet with the youthful dream to dance someday like Stella Abrera. I was on pointe at the very early age of 10 (which I don't personally recommend) and began volunteering early in my preteen years at my dance studio. I shifted gears in high school and joined my high school cheerleading squad where I found a new love for football and was greatly intrigued by the notion of one day becoming a Seagal for the Seattle Seahawks. I knew it was a long shot with my short stature and new physical limitations due to a major back surgery, but I was determined to at least try. I was just beginning training with a friend & fellow cheerleader, when I became pregnant with my daughter, Aevalynn. (I have learned and am grateful that God's plans often differ from my own) My daughter became my new dream and the one that stuck. She has also danced in my footsteps, beginning at age 3, at her ballet studio in Texas. She has since grown into a confident and compassionate young lady who not only dances on a competition level, but also helps out in the preschool dance classes. As a dance instructor for nearly a decade, as well as an AAU soccer coach for eight years now, I hold a deep love for the children in our valley and have been overwhelmed with gratitude for the love and support from our beautiful community, which inspired me to reopen. I will be teaching a myriad of classes as usual and I very much look forward to seeing you all this September! God Bless!
